The TMAC philosophy is "first things first."  We want sound, practical, and powerful self defense skills to be at the core of our learning--the things that can be carried throughout life and which build self-confidence.  Consequently, students will learn a wide range of practical skills and techniques at lower belt levels. The emphasis on traditional forms comes later in our training.  Only Basic Form #1 and Basic Form #2 are required for promotion as beginning and intermediate students (see descriptions below).

As skills, confidence, and understanding increase, students will be presented with opportunities to further develop their appreciation for their arts through the study of classical forms.  As a "martial arts" with instructors with backgrounds in different styles, we teach classical Tae Kwon Do (ITF) and Wado Ryu Karate forms.
